Bereskin & Parr Welcomes New Associate Callum Lootsma

Callum Lootsma is an associate with Bereskin & Parr LLP and a member of the Engineering and Technology group. His practice focuses on patent drafting and prosecution, with an emphasis on mechanical and material science innovations. Prior to being admitted to the Bar, Callum was both a summer and articling student with the firm.
Callum received his Juris Doctor from the University of Toronto. During law school, Callum co-chaired the Technology and Intellectual Property Group.
Before he attended law school, Callum completed his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering at Queen’s University, specializing in Material Sciences. In his last year at Queen’s University, he designed a tensile testing apparatus for a proton accelerator in a radioactive environment and researched the optimization of novel materials for use in nuclear reactors.
