Bereskin & Parr Welcomes New Associate Bruna D.D. Kalinoski

Bruna Kalinoski is an associate with Bereskin & Parr LLP and a member of the Litigation group. Her practice focuses on all aspects of intellectual property litigation, including patents, trademarks and copyright, with an emphasis on complex patent litigation. She has experience litigating a broad range of technologies including pharmaceutical, telecommunications, high technology, software, from both a technical and economic/damages perspective.

Bruna obtained her law degree from the Federal University of Santa Catarina, Brazil, and before immigrating to Canada served as senior judicial law clerk to the Hon. Justice Eladio Rocha of the Court of Appeal of the State of Santa Catarina, Brazil, for several years, being routinely engaged in deliberations on a broad array of civil and commercial disputes in appeal proceedings.

In Canada, Bruna obtained significant experience in IP and Technology Law while interning at a multi-lingual law boutique with focus on IP, licensing, and international laws. She subsequently summered and articled at a full-service international law firm in the IP and Technology practice groups.

Bruna has a LL.M. from Osgoode Hall Law School, and was called to the Ontario bar in 2019. She remains the editor for IPilogue, which is Osgoode Hall’s Intellectual Property Law blog. While at Osgoode, Bruna served as a research and teaching assistant in both Contract Law and Tort Law competencies.

Prior to joining Bereskin & Parr, Bruna was an IP litigation associate at an international law firm where she practiced all aspects of intellectual property law litigation. She is fluent in Portuguese and conversational in Spanish.
