Bereskin & Parr Welcomes New Associate Suzie Suliman

Suzie Suliman is an associate with Bereskin & Parr LLP. Her practice focuses on general IP matters, trademarks prosecution and litigation. Suzie completed her Juris Doctor at Western University, with a concentration on Intellectual Property, Information and Technology Law. She completed her Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical and Biomedical Engineering at McMaster University. As a capstone project, Suzie designed and implemented a seizure detection alert monitor utilizing machine-learning software, aimed at helping epileptic patients regain independence.
Suzie co-authored The Effects of the Madrid Protocol on Canadian Businesses (published in the Hamilton Law Association Journal), which summarized the proposed changes to Canadian trademarks legislation, its effect on Canadian businesses and how businesses should prepare for such changes.
In 2016, Suzie was finalist of the Lenczner Slaght Advocacy Competition in Legal Ethics and Professionalism.
