Mathews Dinsdale Welcomes Katherine Shaughnessy to the Firm

Mathews Dinsdale is pleased to announce that Katherine Shaughnessy has joined the Firm as Counsel in our Calgary office. Katherine is an experienced lawyer with over 20 years of practice providing sound and practical advice to employers.  Prior to joining the Firm, Katherine served as in-house counsel to one of the largest employers in Alberta’s oil sands industry.  Katherine has a keen understanding of employers’ operational environments and takes a very practical, solution-oriented approach to serving their needs. She has successfully advised employers on every aspect of managing the employment relationship from hiring, to progressive discipline, disability management, severance and terminations. Katherine also regularly advises on OH&S compliance matters and her practice includes a focus on developing workplace alcohol and drug testing programs.
