Patent Lawyer/Patent Agent – Mechanical Engineering Focus – Toronto Office

We are currently recruiting for a patent lawyer or patent agent with a background in mechanical engineering to join our Toronto office.
A degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent and registration as a patent agent with the Canadian Intellectual Property Office (CIPO) is requirement. Registration as a patent agent before the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) is an asset but not required. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience as a registered patent agent. Qualification as a lawyer is an asset but not required.
The position will involve working with leading innovators and providing advice on intellectual property strategies, preparing and prosecuting patent applications, and providing opinions on a variety of IP matters.
