Ellen Kiernan’s practice focuses on patent prosecution and drafting, primarily for mechanical innovations. Ellen completed a concentration in Intellectual Property, Information and Technology Law. She also represented Western Law at the 2021 Harold G. Fox IP Moot and volunteered as a Senior Clinic Fellow at the Western IP & Innovation Legal Clinic.
Before joining Bereskin & Parr, Ellen worked on mechanical patent prosecution teams at law firms in Montreal and Paris. She also helped a Danish startup to develop their IP strategy.
Prior to being an associate, Ellen was a summer student and an articling student with the firm.
