Bereskin & Parr Welcomes New Associate Max Rothschild

Bereskin & Parr is pleased to welcome Max Rothschild to our Toronto Office as an associate and member of our Copyright & Digital Media Group, with experience in legal and business affairs and licensing agreements.
Prior to joining Bereskin & Parr, Max was Counsel, Legal & Business Affairs at the Canadian Musical Reproduction Rights Agency Ltd. (CMRRA).
At CMRRA, Max negotiated licensing agreements with all major online music services, and prepared submissions on behalf of music copyright owners to the Supreme Court of Canada. In addition to his work with CMRRA, Max has worked with the Canadian Music Publishers Association (CMPA), the trade organization that advocates on behalf of music publishers and assists the Artists Legal Advice Services (ALAS) with summary legal advice.
Max holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from McGill University, and a J.D. from the Schulich School of Law at Dalhousie University. He was called to the Ontario Bar in 2014. His work has been published in the Canadian Journal of Law and Technology.
