Bereskin & Parr Welcomes Ryan Shaughnessy as Associate in Toronto

Bereskin & Parr LLP is pleased to welcome Ryan Shaughnessy to our Toronto Office as an associate and member of our firm’s Engineering & Technology Patent Group.
Ryan has a professional background in space medicine, nuclear operations, electronic warfare and information technology.
Before his call to the Ontario Bar in 2017, Ryan was a summer and articling student at an intellectual property law firm in Ottawa, assisting in the drafting and prosecution of a variety of patent and trademark applications, also gaining experience in intellectual property litigation and working on two large patent trials.
Since his time at Law School at Queen’s University, Ryan has served as a reserve officer in the Canadian Armed Forces and regularly participates in a variety of military training exercises.
Ryan completed his Bachelor of Engineering degree in Biomedical and Electrical Engineering at Carleton University and his JD at Queen’s University.
