Carly Cohen Joins Cassels Brock
September 24, 2013Carly Cohen is an associate in the Litigation Group at Cassels Brock in Toronto. Prior to joining Cassels Brock as an associate, she was both a summer and articling student at the firm. As an articling student, Carly was actively involved in cases spanning intellectual property, copyright and trademark infringement, contract disputes, employment issues, injunctions, shareholder disputes and other commercial litigation matters.
During her articles Carly gained experience drafting pleadings, factums and legal memoranda, conducting legal research, negotiating settlements and assisting with advising clients and responding to client inquiries.
Carly attended Western University where she was the inaugural graduate of the J.D./Honours B.A. (Media, Information and Technoculture) program. She studied in the intellectual property area of concentration and was the recipient of the Bereskin & Parr Award in Industrial and Intellectual Property. Carly was also Dean’s Honour List student in her second year at the Faculty of Law. Carly spent a semester studying at ESADE Ramon Llull University, Faculty of Law in Barcelona, Spain, where she studied EU intellectual property and contract law.
