Partner announcement

Clayton Ruby and Brian Shiller welcome new partner, Annamaria Enenajor

September 21, 2017

Clayton Ruby and Brian Shiller are thrilled to announce that Annamaria Enenajor has joined their partnership. From September 21, 2017, their firm will be known as Ruby Shiller & Enenajor, Barristers.

Annamaria has worked as an associate at the firm since April 2015, practicing criminal, constitutional, and civil law. During that time, she has argued before every level of court in Ontario and co-authored a leading text on the law of sentencing in Canada.

Annamaria graduated from McGill Law School as the David L. Johnson Gold Medallist in 2012 and clerked for the Honourable Justice Marie Deschamps and the Honourable Justice Richard Wagner at the Supreme Court of Canada in 2012-2013.

Following her clerkship, Annamaria practiced litigation in the New York office of a large international law firm. She focused on government enforcement actions and internal investigations into allegations of corruption and bribery.  She was also a member of a team of lawyers who brought an unprecedented civil rights class action against New York City to end the use of excessive force against inmates at Rikers Island and other New York City jails. For this work, she was awarded a 2014 Pro Bono Publico Award by the New York Legal Aid Society.
