Crawley MacKewn Brush LLP Welcomes Associate Cristina Borbely

Crawley MacKewn Brush LLP is pleased to announce that Cristina Borbely has joined the firm as an associate. Cristina’s litigation practice includes complex corporate/commercial litigation, securities litigation, white collar defence, investigations, and professional liability.

Cristina has experience with contract and negligence claims as well as regulatory and criminal matters, including securities and blockchain-related enforcement matters. Cristina has appeared before the Ontario Court of Justice, the Ontario Superior Court of Justice, and administrative tribunals. Cristina has experience conducting and advising on both internal investigations as well as workplace investigations. She obtained the Osgoode Advanced Certificate in Workplace Investigations in 2023.

While at law school, Cristina was a member of the 2018 Allard team for the Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition, bringing home the First Place Memorial Prize. She was also involved with the University of British Columbia Law Review as an associate editor. In her third year of law school, Cristina participated in the Corporate Counsel Externship at a national telecommunications company, where she assisted in-house counsel with corporate governance matters.

Prior to joining the firm, Cristina practiced in the Advocacy department of an international firm.
