Crawley MacKewn Brush LLP is pleased to welcome senior legal counsel Charlotte Conlin to the firm.

Charlotte is an accomplished commercial litigation solicitor with over 25 years of experience in shareholder disputes, proxy fights, directors’ liability, corporate risk management, mergers and acquisitions, corporate reorganizations, and class actions.

Charlotte has extensive experience advising public, private and not-for-profit corporations, regulatory bodies and other public entities in identifying legal risk on a wide range of legal issues, whether in connection with transactions, business combinations, or in assessing operational risk and director and officer liability. Her practice focuses on complex legal issues, where she develops effective legal strategies and practical solutions for clients as well as winning legal arguments in high-stakes litigation. Charlotte has represented clients before courts in Ontario and Alberta, as well as the Federal Court and Supreme Court of Canada. Many of the cases she has worked on have resulted in reported decisions on novel or significant legal issues.

Charlotte was a law clerk at the Court of Appeal for Ontario and started her career as a commercial litigator. She worked as research and opinions counsel at three national law firms before joining the firm.
