Daniela M. Pacheco Named Head of Medical Malpractice at Neinstein LLP

A long-standing leader within the firm, Daniela’s promotion marks both a significant personal milestone and a pivotal moment for the evolution of the firm’s Medical Malpractice group.
Throughout her career, Daniela has earned a reputation of strategic thinking, deep empathy, and steadfast advocacy. She has guided clients through some of the most complex and emotionally charged cases in Canadian law, consistently delivering results with professionalism and compassion.
She regularly acts as counsel in multi-party medical malpractice trials and appeals, with frequent appearances before the Superior Court of Justice and the Ontario Court of Appeal. Daniela was on the trial team for KB v Guhle (2025 ABKB), Hasan v Trillium Health (2022 ONSC 3175), Hemmings (litigation guardian of) v Peng (2022 OJ No 2674), Farej v Fellows (2022 ONCA 254) and Hasan v. Trillium Health Centre (Mississauga) (2024 ONCA 586).
Daniela’s leadership extends well beyond the courtroom. She currently serves on the Board of Directors and the Executive Committee of the Ontario Trial Lawyers Association and completed her tenure as Chair of the Medical Malpractice Section of OTLA in 2020. She also served two consecutive terms as Chair of the Women’s Caucus and was the recipient of the Women’s Caucus Award in 2017.
As she steps into this new role, Daniela will continue to champion a trauma-informed, client-centred approach that has defined her work and reflects the core values of our firm.
Her promotion is a well-earned recognition of her outstanding contributions and the continued impact she will make as a leader in this field.
