Dickinson Wright Appoints Ted Citrome to Taxation Practice

Dickinson Wright LLP, Canada’s leading business law firm specializing in cross-border counsel, today announced that lawyer, Ted Citrome joined its taxation practice, as Of Counsel.

In this role, Mr. Citrome will focus on all aspects of Canadian taxation law, with a particular emphasis on the taxation of acquisitions / divestures, reorganizations and corporate finance. As part of this role, he will also provide owner-mangers and wealthy individuals with succession and tax planning advice. In addition, he will be working closely with the firm’s Canadian lawyers to provide the tax component of an integrated legal solution. Finally, to further advance the firm’s cross-border focus, he will also work with the firm’s US counterparts to provide clients with comprehensive tax advice.

In his 12 years practicing law, Citrome has acted on many significant transactions across multiple industries, including manufacturing, automotive, mining, real estate and technology.  Having advised multinational groups on how to best structure their Canadian operations and investments, Citrome will be a strong asset to the Dickinson Wright cross-border taxation practice.

He has also instructed the tax course for the University of Toronto’s Bar Exam Prep Course. An avid writer, Mr. Citrome has written and been published on a variety of tax topics in several legal publications such as, Canadian Tax Foundation Annual Conference Report and International Fiscal Association Bulletin for International Taxation. As well, he has been quoted in national media outlets for his expert opinion on tax matters.

Mr. Citrome was called to the Ontario Bar in 2002. Prior to joining Dickinson Wright he practiced law at a prominent Canadian national law firm.
