Emily Bala Joins Blake, Cassels & Graydon LLP Toronto Office

Emily has a broad civil and commercial litigation practice. She first joined Blakes as a Summer Law Student. Prior to returning as an Associate, Emily clerked for Chief Justice Beverley McLachlin at the Supreme Court of Canada and completed an LL.M. degree at Harvard Law School on a Frank Knox Memorial Fellowship.

During law school at the University of Toronto, Emily worked as a research assistant for Anita Anand, Sujit Choudhry and Ben Alarie. She volunteered with Downtown Legal Services and the Metropolitan Action Committee on Violence Against Women and Children.
