Hicks Morley Welcomes Kayley Leon
September 20, 2021Hicks Morley is pleased to announce that Kayley Leon has joined the firm as an associate in our Toronto office. Kayley’s practice involves providing strategic advice and representation to employers in both the private and public sectors on a wide range of labour and employment issues. Kayley’s experiences and licensure in the United States have positioned her to assist U.S. employers in navigating the Canadian regulatory landscape.
Kayley received her Canadian J.D. from the University of Windsor and her American J.D. from the University of Detroit Mercy, School of Law. During law school Kayley was selected as an editor of law journals at both institutions. Her research mainly focused on emerging artificial intelligence and future effects on legal landscapes in the United States.
Kayley worked at the University of Windsor as a research assistant focusing on international commercial arbitration and international trade rules surrounding the carriage of goods cross-border. Kayley is licensed to practise law in Ontario, as well as in the State of California.
Prior to joining Hicks Morley, Kayley worked in Michigan at the Wayne County Prosecutor’s Office, in the Homicide and Violent Crimes Division. Kayley summered and articled with Hicks Morley before returning as an associate.
