Jennifer Ponton (nee Webb) joins Smart & Biggar
October 30, 2014Jennifer Pontons practice focusses primarily on trademarks, including prosecution, clearance and opposition matters. She is also involved in litigation matters covering all areas of intellectual property law. Jennifer regularly responds to correspondence from the Trademarks Office relating to trademark registrations, applications and oppositions, as well as assists with litigation matters.
Jennifer has technical expertise in molecular biology techniques involving the manipulation and analysis of DNA, RNA, proteins and lipids. In addition, she has significant research experience using animal models, cell culture and microscopy including live cell imaging.
Jennifer works with clients in a variety of industries, including pharmaceuticals, consumer goods manufacturing, fashion, restaurants and food and beverage producers. Jennifers unique perspective and insight into international intellectual property issues while studying abroad at the National University of Singapore, as well as her educational background in biochemistry and cell biology, are of particular value to her clients.
