Lerners LLP Welcomes Associate Trevor Courtis

We’re pleased to announce that Trevor Courtis has joined our commercial litigation, business law, and appeals groups. Working out of our London and Toronto offices, he will continue to serve as a trusted advisor and advocate for clients throughout Southwestern Ontario and the Greater Toronto Area.

His practice focuses on insolvency and restructuring litigation, distressed asset sales, debt workouts and complex commercial litigation, where his experience includes acting for debtor companies, monitors, trustees and receivers, secured and unsecured lenders, acquirers of assets, and other stakeholders in proceedings under the Companies’ Creditors Arrangement Act (CCAA) and Bankruptcy and Insolvency Act (BIA). He has also acted for debtor companies and court officers in significant recent cross-border restructurings.

Trevor also has significant and varied commercial litigation experience, regularly acting for clients in the financial, energy, mining, manufacturing, automotive, and cannabis sectors among others. He frequently appears on contested matters before the Toronto Commercial List and has appeared before many levels of the courts and administrative tribunals in Ontario, including the Superior Court of Justice, the Ontario Court of Justice, the Divisional Court, the Court of Appeal, the Competition Tribunal and the Ontario Labour Relations Board.
