Associate announcement

Mark St. Cyr Joins Cassels Brock

February 27, 2014

Mark St. Cyr is an associate in the Construction Law Group at Cassels Brock where he advises construction industry clients at all stages of their projects; from procurement right through to dispute resolution.

In addition to reviewing, drafting and re-allocating risk in construction contracts at the outset of a project, Mark provides ongoing advice on issues such as contract interpretation, non-payment, written notices of lien, and options for termination, among others. In the event a dispute arises at any time during a project, Mark also has experience representing clients in construction lien actions, bidding and tendering disputes, bond actions, as well breach of contract, breach of trust, delay, and deficiency claims.

Mark acts for clients at all levels of the “construction pyramid,” having previously acted for owners, contractors, subcontractors, suppliers and engineers, among other large (and small) players in the construction industry both inside and outside of Canada. Recently, Mark has assisted multiple American general contractors with their northern migration by producing “Canadianized” contract packages.
