We are proud to announce that Kartiga Thavaraj has been admitted to the partnership.
Kartiga Thavaraj is a savvy and passionate litigator whose practice is focused on both infrastructure/construction and human rights litigation. She routinely represents clients in complex infrastructure matters, including on public-private-partnership (P3) projects, construction litigation, and other civil/commercial litigation. Kartiga also regularly acts in human rights and constitutional cases before the courts and at the Ontario Human Rights Tribunal.
Kartiga believes strongly in advocating for social justice and human rights and in mentorship and community-building in the legal profession. She is committed to pro bono work, and is a member of the Group of Racialized Ontario Women Litigators (GROWL), the South Asian Bar Association (SABA) and the Federation of Asian Canadian Lawyers (FACL). She co-founded and was the inaugural President of the Tamil Bar Association (TBA). She also teaches and coaches a moot at two of Toronto’s law schools.
