Polley Faith Barristers welcomes our new associate
December 15, 2011Safina is an associate at Polley Faith Barristers practicing corporate/commercial litigation, civil litigation, regulatory litigation, quasi-criminal and criminal defence.
Before joining the firm, Safina completed a summer and articling term at Bennett Jones in Toronto, assisting in a variety of litigation matters including fraud, competition, class action, collections, intellectual property, international commercial arbitration, insolvency and employment law issues.
Safina received a BComm from McGill University and a LLB/JD from the University of Ottawa, and American University, Washington College of Law respectively. She has completed several securities examinations, including the Canadian Securities Course (CSC) and Level 1 of the Certified Financial Analyst designation. At law school, she was part of the national championship Jessup Moot Court Competition team of 2008 and also participated in the International Criminal Court Moot Court Competition in 2010. She also served in Washington D.C. as a Dean’s Fellow for the Center for International Commercial Arbitration.
Safina was called to the Ontario bar in 2011. She is a member of the Advocates’ Society, the Law Society of Upper Canada, the Canadian Bar Association, and the Ontario Bar Association.
