Susan Ficek Joins Damien Frost & Associates LLP

Damien Frost & Associates LLP is pleased to announce that Susan Ficek has joined the firm as counsel.

Susan has in excess of thirty years of experience as counsel with the Attorney General of Ontario responsible for complex criminal matters. She has appeared before all level of Courts including the Court of Appeal for Ontario and Supreme Court of Canada.  As former Deputy Director of Prosecution Support she was responsible for responding to and making requests for international assistance in criminal matters including the requests from the United States in the matter of Conrad Black. Susan acted as senior counsel on the Alan Eagleson prosecution.   During her time with the Ministry she also served as counsel with the Ministry of Environment and Crown Law Office Civil, responsible for regulatory and civil matters.  More recently Susan was responsible for recovering proceeds of crime on an international basis. She has recently been invited to speak at several international conferences relating to international law, money laundering and mental health and criminal law.

Susan will focus her experience and expertise assisting individual, corporate and institutional clients with matters involving financial offences, regulatory matters and issues relating to proceeds of crime. Susan will also assist in providing independent legal advice where there are potential conflicts of interest.
