Daoust Vukovich LLP is pleased to congratulate Ian Michalek for being called to the bar and continuing with our firm as a first-year associate.
Ian applies a practical and business-minded approach to his law practice, with a passion for advocacy and conflict resolution. His practice focuses on commercial litigation matters, including commercial leasing, contract, and construction disputes.
Ian first joined the firm in 2024 as an articling student after obtaining his JD/MBA from the University of Toronto, where he completed his studies at both the Faculty of Law and the Rotman School of Management. His academic achievements include winning first place in the 2022 Rotman Negotiation Challenge and receiving the Honourable John Dawson Ground Prize in Leadership & Ethics, which is awarded to the top JD/MBA student in Rotman’s Business Ethics course.
Before law school, Ian obtained a Bachelor of Arts from Queen’s University in history and political studies (with honours). In addition to his law practice, Ian enjoys skiing and spending time outdoors.
