Mid-level associate – Employment and labour
Norton Rose Fulbright is proud to have been selected as one of Canada’s Best Diversity Employers for several years!
Our Ottawa office is seeking to grow what is already one of the largest and strongest management-side employment and labour practices in the country. With over 70 lawyers nationally, we represent employers in both the private and public sectors, offering tailored and effective solutions for our clients’ industries, competitive environments, and corporate cultures. Our practice comprises the full spectrum of workplace issues, including labour board proceedings, labour arbitration, collective bargaining, human rights, wrongful dismissal, occupational health and safety, employment standards, workplace safety and insurance, executive employment contracts, pay equity, privacy law, progressive human resources strategies, and workplace policies.
We are currently seeking to add to the existing strength of our team by bringing in a mid-level associate with strong experience in this space. This presents an incredible opportunity to join an established Canadian law firm with an international legal practice, while working in a close, collegial and collaborative environment that is both professionally and personally rewarding.
The ideal candidate will possess an LL.B or JD degree and will also have:
- 3 to 5 years of related private practice or in-house experience;
- strong academic standings;
- exceptional client service, interpersonal and communication skills, strong organizational abilities, and a willingness to learn and take initiative;
- demonstrated commercial acumen and a pragmatic, business focused outlook; and
- strong personal and professional integrity and a hard-working, team-centric and passionate approach.
While not required, bilingualism is viewed as an asset.
To apply, please register your resume online at www.nortonrosefulbright.com/ca/en/careers. We thank all candidates for their application, but will be contacting only those whom we select to invite for an interview.
