We have a number of insolvency opportunities across a range of private practice law firms. If you’re interested in making Calgary home (and you should be), please apply here.
Calgary is positioned less than an hour from the beautiful Rocky Mountains with easy access to Banff National Park and Kananaskis Provincial Park. It boasts an amazing array of over 5,000 parks (including over 100 dog parks) and over 1,000 km of multi-use pathways and bike paths. Yes, Calgary is a very bike/pedestrian friendly city! And in Calgary’s downtown, over 100 buildings are connected by 60 +15 bridges (think skybridges) creating a 20 km indoor pathway. No, we don’t like winter either.
Calgary ranks particularly strong when it comes to clean air, clean water, infrastructure, schools, parks and recreational opportunities. It is home to five major educational institutions (the University of Calgary, Mount Royal University, SAIT Polytechnic, Bow Valley College and the Alberta College of Art and Design), and has become an emerging “design city” with new buildings/structures and public art by some of the world’s most renowned architectural firms and artists.
Calgary also has a thriving arts, culture and food scene. It (normally) hosts major festivals year round, including its most iconic festival, The Calgary Stampede. It is home to one of North America’s largest performing arts centres – Arts Commons – as well the Calgary Philharmonic, Theatre Calgary, Alberta Theatre Projects and One Yellow Rabbit, and the Olympic Plaza Arts District. There are over 40 craft brewery-taprooms in Calgary, with new ones opening every month. Ten Calgary restaurants made the list of Canada’s 100 Best Restaurants in 2020. Calgarians also love their coffee – there is even a Cat Café!
