In House Counsel

Director of Legal

July 10, 2020

Founded in 2019, Corus Orthodontists is a growing orthodontic partnership network. We acquire, operate, improve and grow orthodontic practices across Canada and the United States. With a unique value proposition centred around patient care and team engagement we strive to make a difference. We believe in preserving and evolving our specialty of orthodontics, and in protecting the integrity of the patient-doctor relationship.

Corus Orthodontists is seeking an experienced corporate and M&A lawyer to join its head office in Toronto as Director of Legal. Reporting to the CFO, you will provide strategic legal advice across many areas of the business, including M&A, employment, and commercial leasing matters, and will play an integral role providing commercial advice to support the business’s growth plans. The Director of Legal will act as a key partner to the business, providing creative and practical legal solutions that meet the business objectives in a growth-oriented environment.

The ideal candidate will have 7 to 10 years of experience with corporate/commercial matters and the demonstrated ability to effectively lead Canadian/US M&A transactions. Candidates with a combination of in-house and private practice, as well as experience operating within the healthcare sector or another highly regulated industry, will be preferred. This exciting opportunity will suit a collaborative self-starter who has strong business acumen and proven relationship building skills.
