Whaley Estate Litigation (WEL) Partners, a boutique estate litigation firm located in midtown Toronto and serving clients across Ontario, is seeking a senior litigation associate to join its team.
The firm acts on all aspects of disputes involving wills, estates, trusts, powers of attorney, guardianships, and fiduciary accounting. It represents both private and institutional clients at all levels of court in Ontario, and its lawyers regularly contribute their expertise to the legal community through presentations, publications, and service on a variety of committees.
The ideal candidate will have strong litigation skills and have been in practice for 6+ years, with demonstrated experience in civil litigation and an interest in estate and trust litigation and advocacy.

Required Skills: You must be capable of working independently with carriage of files; able to organize and prioritize numerous tasks and complete on schedule. You must have exceptional interpersonal and communication skills. You will be responsible for initiating and/or defending proceedings; maintaining complete carriage of litigation matters files from start to finish. You will also be responsible for client relations, including meetings, advising taking instruction, reporting and/or responding to inquiries.
Mandatory: Membership in the Law Society of Ontario.
