SML Welcomes New Associate, Amanda Byrd
September 11, 2023Amanda Byrd (they/them) is an associate at Steinecke Maciura LeBlanc practising in all areas of professional regulation.
Since their call to the bar in 2020, Amanda has worked on a number of public inquiries, including the Collingwood Judicial Inquiry, Ontario’s Long-Term Care COVID-19 Commission, and the Nova Scotia Mass Casualty Commission. They obtained their law degree from Osgoode Hall Law School in 2019, where they completed an experiential program in feminist advocacy at the Barbra Schlifer Commemorative Clinic and received the Wendy Babcock Social Justice Award.
Amanda is owned by a rescue dog and cat. In their free time, they enjoy gardening, hiking, and nature walks.
