Loopstra Nixon welcomes Matthew Grant as a Partner

Matthew Grant is a transactional lawyer and also the head of the Securities Group at Loopstra Nixon.

Matthew practices corporate and securities law and focuses on transactional matters, including cross-border and domestic private and public M&A as well as strategic alliance transactions, reorganizations and spin-off transactions. He also advises on capital markets transactions, corporate governance, continuous disclosure, and other securities regulatory matters. Matthew has particular expertise assisting private equity funds and other investment funds that are raising capital in Canada. Matthew has assisted clients in a variety of industries, including technology, consumer goods, industrials, life sciences and mining.

Matthew previously spent 10 years working in the Toronto office of Baker McKenzie before moving in-house to act as Senior Corporate Counsel (Securities) at one of the largest dual-listed public issuers in Canada for four years. Matthew then returned to Baker McKenzie where he practiced for an additional six years prior to joining Loopstra Nixon.
