Joshua Hurwitz joins Osler’s Toronto Office

Josh practises corporate and commercial law with an emphasis on corporate restructuring, insolvency, bankruptcy, secured transactions and enforcement of debtor and creditor rights. He is a graduate of the combined H.B.A./J.D. program at the Ivey Business School and Western Law School, where he was named to the Dean’s List in both faculties and received the highest standing in a number of business and law school courses. In his second summer of law school, Josh co-authored a paper, which was published by the Law Society of Upper Canada, on the Ontario Court of Appeal’s Re Indalex decision and its implications for distressed companies that operate defined benefit pension plans. Josh is also a graduate of the University of Cambridge, where he received his Master of Law following his call to the Ontario bar.
