Azim Remani Joins Cassels Brock
September 26, 2013Azim Remani is an associate in the Financial Services Group at Cassels Brock in Toronto. His practice focuses on corporate finance matters, representing both borrowers and lenders in secured and unsecured lending transactions.
Azims representative work includes:
- Acting for a lender in connection with the amendment and restatement of a credit facility extended to a large food distributor
- Acting for a borrower with respect to a multi-tiered refinancing
- Acting for a large freight transportation services company in connection with an asset purchase
Azim worked as a summer student and completed his articles at the firm. Before joining Cassels Brock, Azim spent a summer researching and writing with Professor Michael Trebilcock and others for the University of Toronto Faculty of Laws middle-income access to civil justice initiative. Azim is a co-author of two policy options papers on employment and consumer and debtor-creditor law published in Middle Income Access to Justice (University of Toronto Press, 2012).
During his time at law school, Azim was active in student government, serving as a first-year representative and co-treasurer for the Students Law Society. He also served as an assistant editor and business law articles editor for the University of Toronto Faculty of Law Review.
