Anita Kim Joins Cassels Brock
September 24, 2013Anita Kim is an associate in the Securities Group at Cassels Brock in Toronto. Prior to joining Cassels Brock as an associate, Anita was a summer and articling student at the firm. During this time, she assisted in various transactions, including private placements, corporate financings, initial public offerings, and mergers and acquisitions for public issuers. Anita also co-authored (with Len Glickman) an article titled Product Placement and Technology Developments, Challenges and Opportunities which was published in the Spring 2012 issue of Entertainment and Sports Lawyer (a publication of the ABA Forum on the Entertainment and Sports Industries).
Anita obtained her J.D. from the Schulich School of Law at Dalhousie University where she received the Horace E. Read Prize for the highest mark in Legislation and was awarded honours designation in her second year moot. During law school, Anita spent one term working at the Dalhousie Legal Aid Clinic where she represented clients before the Halifax Provincial Court and the Nova Scotia Supreme Court (Family Division).
In 2010, Anita participated in the Queens Global Law Program at Herstmonceux Castle, in England, where she focused on International Business Law. The program included field studies to the Canadian Mission to the World Trade Organization in Geneva; the Canadian Mission to the EU in Brussels; and the International Court of Arbitration, the International Chamber of Commerce, and the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development in Paris.
Anita is a member of Young Women in Law.
