Gerard Kennedy Joins Osler’s Toronto Office

Gerard’s litigation practice encompasses class action defence, administrative and regulatory matters and corporate-commercial litigation. Gerard joined the firm in 2012 after completing his LL.M. at Harvard Law School. At Harvard, Gerard served as a research assistant to Dean Martha Minow and Professor Philip Heymann. He was called to the Bar of Ontario in 2011 after clerking at the Superior Court of Justice in Toronto. In 2009, he interned at the International Criminal Tribunal for the Former Yugoslavia.

Gerard earned his J.D. from Queen’s University. At Queen’s, he was a research assistant for ten faculty, in addition to serving as Senior Associate Editor of the Queen’s Law Journal and Vice-President (Academic) of the Queen’s Law Students’ Society. He participated in the Gale, Jessup and Fasken moots.
