Rachel Laurion joins Fasken Martineau
November 13, 2015Rachel Laurion is an associate in Fasken Martineau’s Litigation & Dispute Resolution group.
Rachel is a graduate of the University of Western Ontario, Faculty of Law and was named to the Dean’s Honor List for her first year law studies. In her fall semester of her third year, she attended the Faculty of Law at the University of Hong Kong. Prior to law school, she lived in New York for 6 years while attending NYU where she obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and was named to the Dean’s Honour List. She subsequently obtained a Masters of Science in Social Work from Columbia University. Rachel has worked as a Teaching Assistant for a Tort Law Small Group, Student Supervisor for Community Legal Services, and Student Coordinator at the Dispute Resolution Centre. She has completed internships at Altus Group Limited, Connected Health Solutions and Weston United’s Weston House. Rachel has volunteered with Community Legal Services, the Dispute Resolution Centre, the Student Legal Society, Mentoring USA and Cross Cultural Solutions in Costa Rica. In 2011, she won the BLG Client Consultation Competition. Rachel completed the Chicago Marathon in 2010 and was a competitive hip hop dancer. She is fluent in French.
