Rachel Younan joins Fasken Martineau

Rachel Younan is an associate in Fasken Martineau’s Labour, Employment and Human Rights group.

Rachel is a graduate of Osgoode Hall Law School. Prior to law school, she obtained an Honours Bachelor of Arts in English and Women & Gender Studies from Trinity College at the University of Toronto, where she was a College Scholar, was named to the Dean’s List, and was awarded the L.C.A. Hodgins Scholarship for Excellence in English, the Helen Gregory MacGill Prize in Women’s Studies, and an Entrance Scholarship. During first year law, she participated in the Frozen Osgoode Open Moot and the Fraser Milner Casgrain Negotiation Competition. At law school, Rachel participated in the Mediation Intensive Clinical Program where she mediated disputes at Small Claims court, and volunteered with St. Stephens Community House. She was an executive member of the Osgoode Women’s Network and has volunteered with Osgoode Orientation, Community and Legal Aid Services, Future Possibilities for Kids, and Humanities for Humanity. Since 2005, Rachel has worked for Parks, Forestry & Recreation at the City of Toronto as Assistant Supervisor of Aquatics, Lifeguard and Swimming Instructor. Rachel plays the piano and enjoys travelling, yoga, swimming, running, sailing, and baking.
