Neinstein Personal Injury Lawyers’ Daniela Pacheco awarded the 2017 OTLA Women’s Caucus Award
June 12, 2017Neinstein Personal Injury Lawyers’ Daniela M. Pacheco was presented the Ontario Trial Lawyers Association’s (OTLA) Women’s Caucus Award on May 25. The Women’s Caucus Award is presented each year to a female OTLA lawyer who has demonstrated leadership in the organization, promoted retention and advancement of women in law, mentored other women, and supported other female members.
Daniela is a member of Neinstein Personal Injury Lawyers’ Medical Malpractice Group, and has experience in all areas of plaintiff-side medical malpractice and traumatic injury litigation. She has appeared before Ontario’s Superior Court of Justice and Court of Appeal, and acted as counsel in complex medical malpractice suits addressing such issues as misdiagnosis of brain abscesses; late diagnosis of colon cancer; late diagnosis of breast cancer; and surgical negligence.
Prior to joining Neinstein, Daniela completed an Honours Bachelor of Science with High Distinction at the University of Toronto and a Juris Doctor at Osgoode Hall Law School. While in law school, she acted as a case worked at Parkdale Community Legal Services in downtown Toronto.
Daniela is Chair of the Women’s Caucus and an active member of the Women’s Law Association of Ontario, and is a regular contributor to the OTLA’s Medical Malpractice Newsletter. She is also a member of The Advocates’ Society, the Medico-Legal Society of Toronto, the Ontario Bar Association, and the Toronto Lawyers Association.
