Smart & Biggar announces Sally Hemming as new counsel in Toronto

We are pleased to share that Sally Hemming has been promoted to Counsel.

Sally, who works out of Toronto and Ottawa, has been practicing patent law for more than 15 years, with a focus on securing patent protection in the fields of biotechnology, chemicals and pharmaceuticals. She has in-depth experience drafting and prosecuting patent applications in Canada, the United States and internationally. Sally also oversees patent prosecution in various other jurisdictions, including Europe, China, Japan and Australia, and in addition provides technical assistance in pharmaceutical litigation matters.
