Michael O’Brien joins Tyr
November 19, 2019Tyr LLP is excited to welcome Michael O’Brien to its growing litigation team. Michael joins Tyr after seven years with McCarthy Tétrault LLP, where he carried on a diverse trial practice focused on complex matters.
Michael has been lead counsel in trials, hearings and appeals before various courts and administrative tribunals in Ontario and is a trusted advisor to publicly traded and privately held companies, public institutions, investors, professionals and high-profile individuals.
Michael is the Vice-Chair of the American Bar Association’s Business Law Section subcommittee on Class Actions, and is an editor and regular contributor to the Class Actions chapter in the ABA’s annually updated Recent Developments in Business and Corporate Litigation. He is active in the community and has held a number of leadership positions on the Boards of charitable organizations.
Michael will work closely with his colleagues at Tyr to continue to achieve success for his clients inside the courtroom and out.
