Thomson Rogers Welcomes New Associate Michael S. Weisbrot

Michael joined Thomson Rogers in 2019.

Prior to joining Thomson Rogers, Michael worked at two reputable boutique family law firms in Toronto. Michael has been involved in all aspects of family law, including complex financial issues, and has appeared before the Superior Court of Justice and the Ontario Court of Justice for a wide variety of family court proceedings. He has also been cited in a number of reported decisions.

Michael received his Canadian and American law degrees from the Dual J.D. program at the University of Windsor and the University of Detroit Mercy, where he was involved in various community legal initiatives and associations, such as Community Legal Aid, the Moot Court Board of Advocates, and Pro Bono Students Canada.

Michael’s experience as a member of the Moot Court Board of Advocates strengthened his passion for litigation. During this time, Michael drafted one of the highest scoring legal facta for two advocacy tournaments, and he acted as a mentor to other students.
