Oatley Vigmond Welcomes Associate Lawyer Gus D’Amico

Oatley Vigmond is pleased to announce that Gus D'Amico has joined the firm as an associate.

The partners at Oatley Vigmond are pleased to welcome Gus as an Associate Lawyer.

Long before becoming a lawyer, Gus was already helping injured individuals navigate the legal system. After earning his Paralegal Certificate from Centennial College in 2015, he spent several years working in plaintiff personal injury law, where he developed a strong appreciation for the challenges clients face following a serious injury. That experience inspired him to pursue a legal career dedicated to advocating for injured people and their families.

Gus continued that journey by earning a Dual Juris Doctor from the University of Windsor Faculty of Law and the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law, graduating cum laude in 2025. He also holds an Honours Bachelor of Arts in Criminology and Justice from Ontario Tech University.

Gus joined Oatley Vigmond as a summer student in 2024 and returned as an articling student before joining the firm as an Associate Lawyer following his call to the Ontario Bar in June 2026. Throughout his time at the firm, he has worked alongside experienced personal injury lawyers representing individuals with serious injuries and their families, further strengthening his commitment to plaintiff-side advocacy.

Today, Gus is dedicated to helping clients overcome the legal and financial challenges that often follow a serious injury. He is passionate about guiding people through the litigation process with compassion, practical advice, and strong advocacy while pursuing the compensation they deserve.

Outside the office, Gus enjoys spending time with his family, weight training, and following his favourite sports teams.
