Andrew Boyd joins Osler’s Toronto Office
September 25, 2014Andrew is an associate in the Tax Department and is currently gaining experience in all areas of income tax practice, with a particular emphasis on tax litigation. Andrew is a graduate of Osgoode Hall Law School, where he received the Charles Edward Woodrow Award for academic excellence and the Dominic Carinci Memorial Prize for high standing in Business Associations and Real Estate law.
Prior to law school, he obtained an Honours Bachelor of Arts in Legal Studies with a minor in Economics from the University of Waterloo, where he stood on the Deans List. In second year of law school, Andrew was a Division Leader in the Criminal Division of the Community and Legal Aid Services Program, where he appeared regularly before the Ontario Court of Justice. Andrew also served as President of the Osgoode Hall Tax Law Association and was a member of the Osgoode Business Law Society. He participated in the Fall Open Osgoode Moot, the Lerners Cup Moot, the Hicks Cup Moot and the Bowman Tax Moot. Andrew plays the guitar and played drums with several punk rock bands. He enjoys composing music and digital photography. Prior to joining Osler, Andrew summered at another national law firm and was seconded to the Ontario Securities Commission.
