Bennett Jones congratulates new partner Blake Williams
April 21, 2016Bennett Jones is pleased to welcome R. Blake Williams to the partnership.
Blake advises energy companies on regulatory, environmental and Aboriginal matters. He has regulatory, environmental and Aboriginal experience in relation to provincially and federally regulated energy developments throughout Canada including pipelines, oil sands operations, renewable energy projects, LNG facilities, storage facilities, rail facilities, power plants and utility infrastructure.
Blake has represented clients in proceedings and matters before the Alberta Energy Regulator (formerly, the Energy Resources Conservation Board), Alberta Utilities Commission, Alberta Environmental Appeals Board, Alberta Surface Rights Board, Alberta’s Métis Settlements Appeal Tribunal and the National Energy Board. He has further significant experience advising clients on matters related to various additional regulatory agencies, including the B.C. Oil and Gas Commission and the British Columbia Surface Rights Board.
Blake also regularly advises clients concerning spills, contaminated sites, and chemical and other regulatory compliance issues. He joined Bennett Jones as an associate in 2008 after previously articling with the firm.
