Bennett Jones is pleased to welcome partner Stuart B. Hankinson Q.C. to the firm.

Stuart Hankinson focuses his practice on complex construction, commercial and insurance dispute resolution. Owners, developers, EPC and EPCM contractors, design-builders, design professionals, construction insurers, and construction and project managers call on him to mitigate and manage a variety of disputes. Stuart frequently acts as a mediator and arbitrator of complex construction disputes. He also acts as a single member Dispute Adjudication Board (DAB), a Dispute Resolution Board (DRB) member and as a Referee in major construction projects.

A charter Fellow of the Canadian College of Construction Lawyers, Stuart is active in the community as a member of the British Columbia Construction Roundtable, the Project Management Institute and the British Columbia Building Envelope Council. He is recognized as a leading lawyer by Lexpert, Best Lawyers and Legal Who’s Who.

To complement his practice, Stuart lectures regularly for organizations including the Canadian Institute, Insight Education Services, Agenda Management Limited and Pacific Business & Law Institute.

Stuart is a former chairman of the Canadian Bar Association’s Construction Law Section (BC).
