Fiona Brown joins Aird & Berlis LLP

Fiona represents employers across various industry sectors on a broad range of employment and labour law issues, advising management on discipline, termination and severance issues as well as strategic restructuring and the development, interpretation and application of forward thinking workplace policies and procedures. Fiona advises employers on compliance with relevant common law, both federal and provincial, as well as contractual and statutory obligations, including Occupational Health and Safety, Human Rights, Labour Relations and Freedom of Information legislation. She has appeared before various courts and tribunals in connection with wrongful dismissal claims, and benefits claims and appeals, and has worked extensively in the grievance arbitration area interpreting the application of various collective agreements.
