Jacob Roth is an associate in the criminal practice of Henein Hutchison Robitaille LLP. He has represented clients before all levels of court in Ontario, administrative tribunals, and professional regulatory bodies.
Before joining Henein Hutchison Robitaille LLP, Jacob practiced at a Toronto-based criminal defence firm, where he focused on defending against sexual assault allegations.
Jacob received his law degree from the University of Toronto in 2018. During law school, Jacob worked at a civil litigation firm and supported the lawyers in several high-stakes medical malpractice matters.
After graduating from law school, he articled with the in-house litigation team at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH). In that role, Jacob represented the hospital at hearings to determine suitable measures for clients declared unfit to stand trial or not criminally responsible on account of mental disorder.
In 2020, Jacob earned a Master of Laws degree (LLM) with high distinction from Columbia University in New York.
