Jeremy Martin Joins Cassels Brock
September 4, 2012Jeremy is an associate in the Advocacy Group. He practises commercial litigation and dispute resolution with a focus on class proceedings. Jeremy has particular experience working with clients in the areas of product liability, intellectual property, franchise law and shareholder disputes. Prior to joining Cassels Brock as an associate, Jeremy was both a summer and articling student at the firm.
Jeremy is a contributing writer to the Watson & McGowan Annual Survey of Recent Developments in Civil Procedure and publishes primarily in the areas of class proceedings, civil procedure and legal history.
Jeremy graduated from the University of Toronto Faculty of Law in 2011. While attending law school, he was awarded the Osgoode Society prize for his contributions to the field of Anglo-Canadian legal history and received top standing in Litigation and Dispute Resolution. He was appointed Senior Editor of Private Law at the University of Toronto Faculty of Law Review, and represented the Faculty in the Laskin national constitutional moot. Jeremy had his first courtroom experience in criminal defence and continues to focus his pro bono work in the field of civil liberties.
