Salma Gilani Joins Blake, Cassels & Graydon LLP Toronto Office

Salma received her J.D. from Osgoode Hall Law School, where she received the Dean’s Letter Recognizing Cumulative Overall Excellence for ranking in the top three per cent of the class of 2015. She is a recipient of the Blakes Scholar Award, the Ivan Cleveland Rand Prize in State and Citizen, the WeirFoulds LLP Prize in Administrative Law and the Davies Ward Phillips & Vineberg LLP Prize in Commercial Law, Business Associations and Taxation. Salma holds a B.A. in English and history and a B.Ed. from York University.
Salma is an Ontario certified teacher. Prior to law school, she worked as a high school English teacher in Toronto and spent a summer teaching abroad. During law school, she worked at Parkdale Community Legal Services in the Employment law division. Salma also volunteered as a resource developer for Law in Action Within Schools program and as an intake worker for the Community and Legal Aid Services Programme.
