SpringLaw Welcomes Ben Currie
November 7, 2023We’re thrilled to welcome Ben Currie to SpringLaw as a labour and employment lawyer. Ben has worked on a wide variety of workplace matters including employment contract and policy drafting, advising on employee discipline, and litigating human rights and wrongful dismissal claims. He also has experience in arbitrations and collective bargaining both as a lawyer and as the employer representative in his career before law school. Ben is both collaborative and down-to-earth, balancing a strong instinct for the law with compassionate EQ for clients.
Prior to joining SpringLaw, Ben practiced management-side employment and labour law at both a national and boutique law firm. Having also worked in employee relations, Ben understands the importance of practical, efficient solutions to workplace issues and enjoys problem-solving with his clients. Ben completed his Juris Doctor at Dalhousie University, where he also received several scholarships and academic awards, including achieving the highest grade in Judicial Remedies. To complement his law degree, Ben completed Harvard Business School’s Negotiation Mastery course.
Ben resides in Halifax, Nova Scotia and enjoys exploring waterfront trails with his family. Ben is a cautiously optimistic fan of the Montreal Canadiens.
We’re eager for you to meet him!
