Aird & Berlis LLP is pleased to announce that Mark van Zandvoort has become a partner of the firm.
Mark is a member of the firm’s Litigation Group. He practises corporate and commercial litigation with an emphasis on litigating contractual disputes, fraud and negligence claims, and conflicts arising in insolvency proceedings. Mark has advised a wide range of clients, including banks, employers, distributors, suppliers, alternative energy developers, transportation companies, homeowners, residential landlords, and commercial landlords and tenants.
Mark regularly attends to argue motions before the Ontario Superior Court of Justice, including at the Commercial List Court. He has also assisted in conducting trials at the Ontario Superior Court of Justice, has appeared as counsel at the Ontario Court of Appeal, and has prepared leave to appeal applications to the Supreme Court of Canada. Mark is a regular participant in private and court-mandated mediations and arbitrations and prides himself in finding prompt and cost-effective ways of resolving disputes at the outset of litigation in order to obtain the best outcome for his clients.
