Aird & Berlis LLP Announces New Partner Melanie Cole

Aird & Berlis LLP is pleased to announce that Melanie Cole has become a partner of the firm.

Melanie is a member of the firm’s Corporate Finance Group. She practises corporate and securities law, with an emphasis on public and private financings, mergers and acquisitions and ongoing general corporate and commercial activities. Melanie regularly advises both domestic and international clients, ranging from startup private businesses to large public corporations, including those listed on the Toronto Stock Exchange and the TSX Venture Exchange. She has advised clients in connection with a broad range of matters, including public and private offerings (both initial and secondary), private placement financings (including debt and equity offerings), reverse takeovers, flow-through financings, stock exchange listings, continuous disclosure and corporate governance matters, and the formation and completion of qualifying transactions for companies established under the TSX Venture Exchange Capital Pool Company Program.

Melanie is also a member of the Board of Directors of the Canadian Breast Cancer Support Fund, a charitable organization whose mission is to support breast cancer patients on their journey to wellness by providing short-term financial support, educational workshops and by raising awareness about the impact of the environmental factors affecting breast cancer.
